Champion Mondial Reynolds 531C Campagnolo 56cm

A special bike, this Champion Mondial is classic Dutch vintage racing bicycle of the highest pedigree. The pearlescent grey/blue paint with blue decals is a treat for the eyes. The frame is completely made from Reynolds 531C double-butted steel tubing, with Campagnolo forged drop-outs,a hallmark wrap-around seat stay and engraved fork crown.

The top-tier bicycle is paired with Campagnolo  Super Record components except for the rear derailleur and integrated shifters which are 8x2 Campagnolo Mirage (and most likely a later addition to bring in more modern shifting). Cinelli Campione del Mondo stem and handlebar (66-42), Selle Sans Rolls leather saddle and Malliard freewheel.

Gazelle

Royal Dutch Gazelle is the largest and most famous bicycle manufacturer in the Netherlands. It has been making durable, quality bicycles in its Dieren factory in the Netherlands since 1892. The famous Dutch bicycle brand had a range of professional road bikes which were hand-built by skilled craftsmen in the "Special Racing Division" workshop. The top of their professional frame models was the legendary Gazelle Champion Mondial Special AA which is featured here.
