The "Japanese carbon" connection stems from the fact that Rose exclusively sourced high-modulus carbon fiber matrices from premier Japanese textile giants like Torayca to manufacture their elite frames. As a result their frames often weighed under 1,000 grams—incredibly light for the mid-2000s era.
