A very neat Batavus Criterium from around 1991. The frame features a really cool purple and white paint scheme that screams 90's without being too tacky - a rare feat! Hallmarks of a high-quality frame include construction from Reynolds 531 double-butted tubing and Gipiemme dropouts.

The bike is kitted out with a complete Shimano Exage 500EX 7x2 groupset with indexed gears and powerful dual-pivot rim brakes, Rigida Score wheelset. Lovely Selle San Marco ROlls leather saddle together with tan walled tires and bar tape finish off the look.

New Elvedes stainless steel brake and gear cables
New Elvedes cartridge brake blocks
New Michelin Dynamic Classic 25-622 tires
New Continental tubes
New Velox bar tape

The frame is 63cm c-t suitable for people approximately 185-198cm.

About Batavus

Batavus is a Dutch bicycle and moped manufacturer which was founded in 1904 in the Netherlands. Batavus Intercycle Corporation (Intercycle on some of the older bicycles) was not only the leading manufacturer of bicycles and mopeds in the Netherlands during the 1970s but like all the best brands established its racing pedigree with big wins at prestigious races. A Batavus bicycle was ridden by Gerben Karstend, as he achieved two stage wins in the Tour de France in 1966 and Leontien van Moorsel became the world champion in the 1991 Road Race on a Batavus.
