Concorde Gavina Columbus SL 53cm Shimano 600 tricolor

A nice and small Concorde in the sought-after PDM racing team colours. The Gavina is one of Concorde’s top models and is made with the vaunted Columbus SL Italian steel tubing.

Hallmarks of a high-quality frame include the chromed rear triangle, Columbus drop-outs, engraved fork crowns, cut-out bottom bracket and brazed-on Italian flag detail on the top-tube.

This bicycle is equipped with a complete Shimano 600 Tricolor (Ultegra) groupset which was the second from the top-of-the-range at the time. Nice Cinelli stem and handlebars with internal cable routing. Slight cosmetic damage to right brake lever (plastic cover missing).

New stainless steel Elvedes brake and gear cables, new Bike Ribbon bar-tape and nearly new Continental tires.

The frame is 53cm suitable for people approximately 157-167cm.

Concorde was a Dutch bicycle brand that enjoyed popularity in the 1980s and 1990s as the sponsor of the dominant PDM team which won the World Championship in 1990. Although equipped and painted in the Netherlands, Concorde bought frames produced in Italy including from renowned frame builders such as Ciocc and Billato using Columbus steel.
