The Giant Cadex 980C is a true classic in the world of racing bicycles. One of the most innovative features of the Cadex 980C is its carbon fibre frame, which was ahead of its time when it was first introduced. This unique material makes the bike incredibly lightweight and responsive. The carbon composite has an effect that displays the carbon latticing in the sunlight and juxtaposes nicely with the brushed steel fork and lugs.

This Cadex 980C is paired with a complete Shimano 600 (Ultegra) tricolor groupset with SLR brake levers, 7x2 indexed shifting and silky smooth hubs. Both the frame and components are in excellent condition. Beautiful Cinelli stem and handlebars, Wolber gun metal TX profile rims and San Marco Rolls leather saddle.

New Elvedes stainless steel brake and gear cables, New Elvedes outer cables, new Bike Ribbon Professional bar-tape.

The frame is 55cm centre of crank to top of seat tube making this bike suitable for someone approximately 163-170cm. 54cm top tube and 11cm stem.

About Giant

Giant Manufacturing Co. Ltd. is a Taiwanese bicycle manufacturer, recognized as the world's largest bicycle manufacturer. As a manufacturer it is able to move from ideation to raw materials to finished product in-house achieving the best product at the lowest possible price.

Giant has always been at the forefront of significant technological advances. They have helped popularize at least two advances that are standard industry-wide.

In 1987, with the high-volume production of their CADEX carbon-frame bike, Giant was the first major bicycle company to mass-produce a carbon road bike. In 1997, Giant introduced a racing bike with “compact geometry,” which meant it had a sloping top tube and smaller rear triangle. This type of frame is now used throughout the industry.
