The first Vitus Ovoid 992 frame was released in 1992 (992 refers to this) and was an improved version of the Vitus 979 with which Sean Kelly had made famous with numerous successes. Vitus was at the forefront of pioneering aluminium as a the bicycle material of the future and this frame is made with Dural ovalised aluminium 5086 tubes that are glued into polished aluminium lugs. The bike isn't painted, but instead gets its beautiful blue colour through anodizing - a process usually reserved for smaller components.
Futuristic elements of the bike include an integrated headset, spoiler bottom bracket, internal cable routing and internal seat post grub bolt design. The bike is kitted with a Campagnolo Mirage 9x2 groupset, Mavic Open Pro rims laced to Campagnolo hubs, Cinelli stem and handlebar
New Elvedes stainless steel brake and gear cables
New Bike Ribbonbar-tape
New Shimano brake blocks
57cm c-t
55 cm top tube
The bicycle is suitable for people approximately 167-177cm
