This quality Dutch classic comes in an eye-catching metallic silver-blue colour. The original paint and decals are in excellent condition considering the bike is 45 years old!
The Gazelle Tour de l’Avenir was the Gazelle's second from top-of-the-range bike at the time and features nice detailed lugs and the frame features an elegant wrap-around seat stay cluster. The bike has a touring pedigree with a relatively relaxed geometry and front and rear eyelets for mudguards and or bag carriers - making this a great base for a vintage randonneur/touring bicycle.
The frame is paired with equally mint components such as 6x2 Suntour VX shifting with an interesting front derailleur that is inverted compared to most others (what Suntour called "Top Normal"). Weinman 630 long-reach brake callipers with double levers. Gorgeous high-flange Pelissier hubs. SR Apex crank, SR stem and SR handlebars all in mint condition.
The bike has an extra large 65cm centre-to-top frame suitable for people 185cm and above.
