When one thinks of classic British racing bicycles, Raleigh springs to mind. And when one thinks about a classic Raleigh from the '80s, two colour schemes spring to mind: the red, yellow and black of the famed "Team TI" or the white, red, yellow and blue donned by "Team Panasonic". This is a great example of the latter.

This Raleigh Competition has a full frame Reynolds 501 steel construction with chromed Gipiemme drop-outs: signs that this was not an entry-level machine. The original paint is in good condition, with one or two marks here and there, but no rust. 

The Raleigh is equipped with a complete Shimano Golden Arrow groupset (precursor to the 105 line) which is sought after for its clean metallic looks (subsequent groupsets tended to be anodized and also feature more plastic looks versus classic polished aluminium). 

7x2 friction gears, SR Custom stem, handlebars and seat post, Ambrosio rims laced to Malliard hubs.

New stainless steel brake and gear cables, new bar tape, and new gum hoods.

60cm frame is suitable for people approximately 178-188cm.
