1994 Koga Miyata Gran Lux

This 1994 Koga Miyata Gran Lux is the ideal bicycle for someone who wants to start cycling for sport. The frame is handmade with Koga's famous FM1 hardlite Chrome Molybdenum Triple Butted oversized tubing. Kitted out with a complete Campagnolo Mirage 8 x 2 groupset with integrated shifting, Mavic wheelset laced to Cmpagnolo hubs and ITM bars. Campagnolo cassette.

The bike has been modified with a longer stem. This allows the rider to sit in a more upright position than the standard stem which is aimed at a more aggressive lower ring position.

New stainless steel gear and brake cables, new Elvedes brake blocks, new velox bar-tape. Note the (cosmetic) paint damage near the seat cluster in the last photograph.

Koga Miyata is a famed Dutch bicycle company… that is actually a partnership with a much more famous Japanese company, Miyata Industries. Koga Miyata started with the use of Japanese components and frames in the 1970s whilst design and assemblage of the bicycles was done by hand in the Netherlands.
